Amiano Joins Franciscan Sisters of Chicago Service Corporation as President and CEO
Homewood, Ill. - Sister Diane Marie Collins, general minister for the Franciscan Sisters of Chicago, and the board of directors for the Franciscan Sisters of Chicago Service Corporation (FSCSC) announced that Judy Amiano has been appointed president and chief executive officer for FSCSC.
Through its operating division Franciscan Communities, FSCSC, which is sponsored by the Franciscan Sisters of Chicago, currently operates senior living communities in Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Illinois.
Franciscan Communities also provides home and community-based health services in Indiana, a shelter for women and their children who are survivors of domestic violence in Indiana and affordable housing.
Amiano has over 28 years experience in the medical and senior services industry with more than 20 years at the executive business management level. Most recently, she served as vice president of senior services for Riverside Health System, a non-profit health system located in Kankakee, Ill.
“This work experience has allowed her the opportunity to manage and build teams dedicated to providing high quality service not only in senior living, but for other areas of need for the elderly population,” Collins said.
She has a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Valparaiso University and a master’s degree of business administration from Olivet Nazarene University. Amiano is an Illinois registered professional nurse and an Illinois licensed nursing home administrator.
“I am delighted to join such an outstanding organization with a strong commitment to providing quality of care and life for its residents,” Amiano said. “I share this commitment to quality services and am passionate about continually finding ways to improve the lives of those we serve.”
