Franciscan Community Benefit Services include the following:

Madonna Foundation
The Madonna Foundation is focused on increasing access to Catholic high schools for young urban women on Chicago's north side. These young women come from families who are experiencing economic difficulties.

The Madonna Foundation provides scholarships, tutoring, funds for diagnostic testing and academic remediation, and other social and psychological services for these women.

Did you know that there is a strong connection between academic achievement and psychological maturation of young women, particularly in the development of self-esteem? The Madonna Foundation and the Franciscan Sisters of Chicago understand this connection and are long-time sponsors of Catholic schools. They both understand that Catholic schools serve as effective environments for these young women.

St. Jude House
Did you know that nearly one-third (31%) of American women report being abused by a husband or boyfriend at some point in their lives?

Those impacted by this violence have to go through every day with fear, disbelief, sorrow, agony and pain.

Many victims have turned to St. Jude House in Crown Point, Indiana. Since 1995, St. Jude House has been a safe emergency shelter and compassionate provider of services for victims, and their children, of domestic violence. St. Jude House is committed to offering love and hope in a healing and caring environment to each person that seeks its shelter and/or services.

Addolorata Villa Foundation
Over the years, the Addolorata Villa Foundation has provided the means to support a number of programs and services. The Foundation's purpose is to serve the Addolorata Villa community by raising funds for resident care, senior health education, rehabilitation services, senior community health education and to enhance buildings and equipment.

The following all received support from the Addolorata Villa Foundation:

• The Our Lady of Joy Meditation Room.
• The Addolorata Villa Continuing Care Fund for residents in need of resources.
• The Annual Villa Fest.
• Senior Wellness.
• Associate Appreciation Fund.
• Assisted Living Center.
• Garden of Names.
• Ambassador Program.
• Friends of the Villa Auxiliary.
